TIME FOR US TO RETIRE

Connie and Chuck are retiring from clinical practice as of May 1, 2022.  This means we will no longer be scheduling sessions to see clients on a clinical basis.

We are no longer updating our credential annually (LMFT or LMHC).  WE NO LONGER PROVIDE CLINICAL OPINIONS OR DIAGNOSES OR WRITE PROFESSIONAL REPORTS.

ALSO

Our beloved Parent's Night Group will hold it's last session at 6:00 PM, September 28th 2022 after 23 years of weekly service.

With the deepest of gratitude and respect we honor each and everyone of you for your participation and contributions during these 23 years of working together to benefit the healing and healthy development of the children and families served.

WE WILL NOT BE GOING COMPLETELY AWAY.

We will continue to be Educators in Developmental Self Care and in Developmental Parenting Skills.

We will continue to respond to your questions over the phone and via email regarding the Self-Care and Parenting Tools presented below.

We may also present ourselves on ZOOM or publish videos saying what we need to say regarding self care, parenting, or responding to important questions of the day.

If you would like to be notified of our activities, please email us to be put on our email list.

LISTENING TO THE BODY

Quotes:

Even the most unnatural is Nature; even the creations of the crudest philistines express some of Nature’s genius. Who does not see Nature everywhere, will see her nowhere in the right way.

Goethe

From. “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse”

“What is the bravest thing you have ever said.”  asked the Boy.

“Help.” said the Horse.

Charles Mackesy

Nature! We are surrounded and embraced by her; powerless to separate ourselves from her, and powerless to penetrate beyond her … We live in her midst and know her not. She is incessantly speaking to us, but betrays not her secret. …She has always thought and always thinks; though not as man, but as Nature. …She loves herself, and her innumerable eyes and affections are fixed upon herself. She has divided herself that she may be her own delight. She causes an endless succession of new capacities for enjoyment to spring up, that her insatiable sympathy may be assuaged. …The spectacle of nature is always new, for she is always renewing the spectators. Life is her most exquisite invention; and death is her expert contrivance to get plenty of life.

Goethe

Start by doing what’s necessary;  then do what’s possible;  suddenly you are doing the… impossible.

Francis of Assisi

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Psalm 139:14

Can you choose to suspend your fixing, thinking and talking and choose to, day by day, gently and steadfastly listen?  Then one blessed day your body may choose to decide that it has a friend.  Perhaps your body will then choose to show you a glimpse of its feeling and needing, its awful pain and its awesome beauty.  LISTENING.  TRUSTING.

Chuck Britt

All that which ye potentially posses, can however, be manifested only as a result of your own volition.

 SELFTIMEOUT SERVICES

Every Family that succeeds gets enough support.  Every Family deserves to get enough support.

Each of us is a river... each river flows into the Salish Sea. The great power of water flows through each of us equally. We find ourselves together here, for this working moment in time, in these wonderful valleys... then our water flows on... supporting the remembered ancestors as they pole up and down the river or as they struggle to find home in a new land.

Let's work together remembering everyone who has gone before, respecting every person who is parenting, every elder among us and in service of every child in this land united by our presence and our ancestors presence.
